Composition "the rule of thirds". Your focus area or primary object should never be centered. Although all situations are different this is a good rule to live by. It makes all images more interesting, adds depth and makes you look like a composition master, as long as you nail your exposure(next lesson). Also, if your shooting a moving object follow the same rule, but give the subject "room to run". If the subject is moving right, put it in the left part of the frame.
